“It was pretty easy,” stated Wentworth. “My agent did a lot of the work to make the stress of the draft not so bad. He did a really good job of letting me know what was going on, so I was prepared for any situation.”

“It started right after the season,” explained Micheletti. “I got calls from different teams, checking in, doing their background stuff. That was the start, and getting closer to the draft, I started to hear a lot more from different teams. Obviously, the Blue Jays were one of the teams I heard from, and on draft day I was in the basement with my family when I got a call from the Blue Jays, I heard the offer and accepted it. It was one of the best days of my life.”
RHP Colby Martin selected in the 16th round (487th overall) out of Southeastern University:
“It was a pretty surreal moment,” said Martin. “I was waiting around day two and day three of the draft. The Blue Jays were one of my top teams, so it was pretty surreal when it happened.”
RHP Holden Wilkerson selected in the 18th round (547th overall) out of VMI:
“It was terrific,” stated Wilkerson. “It’s something every baseball player from high school, little league, or college dreams of.”
