Prospect Jay Harry is hoping to build off his strong play during the second half of Triple-A Buffalo’s season.

“I’m looking forward to playing more games,” stated Harry. “I’m trying to stick with what I’ve been doing all year. Staying confident, staying relaxed, not getting too high – on the highs, or two low – on the lows. I’m looking forward to playing with these guys every day, they’re great.”

Finishing the first half with 39 extra base hits, which included: 22 doubles, four triples, and 13 home runs; is something for Harry to keep building off until September.

His breakout season has come about after a solid off-season of training and adjustments.

“A lot of hard work in the off-season,” explained Harry. “A lot of help from the staff which has been great. They’re very supportive and let me be the player that I am which I’m very grateful for.”

A change of scenery has been nice for Harry, as he loves everything about Triple-A Buffalo.

“Everything is amazing in Buffalo,” said Harry. “It’s a beautiful spot. They have the best technology in the world. Everything you need is in one spot.”

Harry has been benefitting from working with Matt Young and Trevor Cho.

“They’re very knowledgeable,” explained Harry. “They know how to work with each guy. I wouldn’t be where I am without those guys.”

Obviously, after a strong first half, a major league call-up may be in the near future for Harry.

Even though, it may be near, Harry isn’t focusing on that right now.

“I’m not really thinking about it,” stated Harry. “I’m continuing to do what I’ve been doing all year. Staying confident in myself.”

Be sure to follow Jay Harry’s progress for the rest of the season.
