Outfielder Blaine Bullard was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 12th round of the 2025 MLB draft.
Bullard, who was ranked the 120th best prospect in the draft by MLB.com was a solid get at pick 352.
Committed to Texas A&M University, Bullard plans to forgo college and turn pro this week.
“I’m really looking forward to getting better every day in pro ball,” explained Bullard. “I’m excited to chase my childhood dream of being an MLB baseball player.”
Playing 33 games in 2025, Bullard finished his senior year with a .444 batting average, and a .606 OBP.
“I’m pretty aggressive at the plate,” stated Bullard. “I like to jump on a first pitch fastball and adjust to off-speed. I use my athleticism to my advantage.”
A two-way player in high school, Bullard played in the outfield, at first base, and was occasionally on the mound as a LHP pitcher.
The prospect talks about his versatility, “It’s a very important skill,” said Bullard. “I try to do everything and make my game as well-rounded as possible.”
Bullard has a favorite skill in the outfield, “Tracking fly balls.”
