After being a member of team USA in 2005, Brian Jeroloman was a sixth round selection by the Toronto Blue Jays the following year.  Presently, he is now with AA New Hampshire and has a very good chance to reach the major leagues in a couple of years.  Jeroloman is recognized as an excellent defender with a strong and consistent bat. I firmly believe that Jeroloman is one of the bigger prospects presently with the Blue Jays organization.

Jeroloman is presently in his fourth year of pro-ball. During this time he has become known for his physical strength at his position at catcher. In fact, Baseball America named Jeroloman the top defensive catcher in the Blue Jays organization. Evidently, his stats from last year prove why he is such a success as he was success both offensively and defensively.

For instance, Jeroloman hit .217, drew 62 walks, and knocked in 32 runs. What is also impressive is that he also caught 44 of 92 runners attempting to steal off of him. He also committed just six errors, while setting a career-high with 54 assists. He finished the season with a .994 fielding percentage, which was a career best and 2nd overall for his team.

Surprisingly, this year, things are looking even better. So far this season (28 games) he has a team leading .322 average, including 28 hits, 16 runs, and 15 RBI. His .322 average is also good for 5th overall in double-A.  He also has shown his persistence at the plate, drawing 22 walks, which has helped raise his on-base percentage to .484. (Quite a big increase as it was only.330 last year).

Jeroloman has been entitled a Mid-Season All-Star for the last three years consecutively, with how he has been playing this season, there is no doubt he will be honored with number four shortly.
